In 2017, we launched our Yagadome kids project for donation of used judogis (kimonos).
The goal was to gather used judogis from our judo friends in Japan and send them to underprivileged kids and orphans in countries in need, to help by giving them a chance to enter in the gyms and start practicing martial arts, with the idea that they could become competitors and coaches in the future, chosing a career in sports.
Before we know, we had nearly 30 judogis, mainly from our friends at Daishin Judo Club in Osaka. At the same time, there were quite a few requests from clubs in Bulgaria, to support their kids programs and we were more than happy to coordinate and send the uniforms.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who made those kids smile!
